Although police used female elements to mingle with Egyptian demonstrating women and abuse them, many girls and human rights activists informed ANHRI that male security elements were involved in the beatings and insults.

Azza Suliman, director of the Center for Egyptian Women’s Legal Assistance said,” Police were not only after aborting the march, but were decided to terrorize us by violent abuse”.
George Is’haq, the former coordinator of Kefaya Movement said, “This cruelty and extreme violence is an explicit display of this autocratic atrocious regime”.

The number of detainees about whom ANHRI has learnt till 3 pm reached 87 detainees. Some were transferred to security camps in Ismailia road zone , others were taken to Darrasa camps. However, there is an untraceable group that was transferred to an unknown location.
